We are a drummer and guitar player looking for a bass player to start a new project. Our previous band has just recently split after a two year period of gigging and recording and after a brief break; we are keen to get back into writing and playing music as soon as possible. Our influences include the likes of Muse, Led Zep, Radiohead etc. Although we are solely interested in writing our own music, the idea would be to put together a few covers initially, centred around the sort of sound the band would like to achieve. This would give us a starting point and ensure that we had sufficient material to audition potential vocalists. We have seen various people over the past few weeks and as is usually the case we have had our fair share of time wasters! You don’t have to be a stunningly technical bass player, but you do have to have drive, commitment and willingness to contribute. As we know taking a band from scratch and turning it into a great group of people who can write and record is not easy, but this would be an excellent opportunity for someone to get in on the ‘ground floor’ and be a part of a really cool project.
