We're The Surrey Scene, a new local music website that's on its way up! We've been live for a couple of weeks and we're already pushing 1000 hits (that's without any promotion or advertising). Imagine what we could do if you wrote for us as a music reporter, blogger or writer.

Please note that this is presently on a volunteer basis, so would probably suit someone looking to enhance their CV or get some valuable music journalism experience. However, we're making more contacts every day, and we may be able to secure free tickets for reviewing purposes if that's what you'd like to do. We've already employed several writers, who are out and about securing interviews, reviewing bands, and writing features for us, but we desperately need more.

We just want to make our website an indispensible source for anyone interested in local music - fans, bands, promoters, and so on. We want to cover the whole of Surrey, so if you're out there get in touch and together we can spread the word about TSS and give some of these bands and venues a much needed helping hand.

One thing we aren't looking for, though, is time wasters. If you're heart's not in it then don't contact us. What we want to see is passionate, effervescent writers willing to get amongst it and give us great copy regarding the local music scene. We've big plans for the site, including branching out to other counties, so if you're up to the task and you want to contribute then contact us now and help make TSS the best music website in the country!

Just let us know where you're from and what area you'd like to cover, then, by way of interview, we'd like you to go out and review a local band or write a local music-related article. If we like what we read we'll print it and you'll immediately become a valuable part of the team.
