Network Operations Engineer
Based in Newbury my client is looking to support
The Operations Team provide 24/7 support of the network, delivery of upgrades, new services and configuration updates
You will provide supplier liaison and to provide 2nd line technical assistance to 1st line Service Operations Teams and other departments within the business as necessary.
You will provide fault diagnosis and resolution to minimise service impact, fault data to be recorded in line with local practise.
Implement disaster recovery procedures.
Implement Application and Operating System upgrades
Carry out planned changes to the configuration under the change control process, with minimum impact to service.
Ensure pro-active maintenance and monitoring is carried out in line with local practise.
Provide technical assistance to other departments, customers and suppliers.
Ensure prompt and appropriate escalation of faults to suppliers and, where services are affected, to management.
Propose changes and improvements to the methods of operational support for elements and services.
Adhere to all applicable procedures, work instructions and administration processes and assist in their development as required.
Produce appropriate operational support documentation and reports as determined by the Operations Manager.
Experience will include:
Highly profficient in the Operating Systems VMS/UNIX/LINUX is required. Along with all networking principles. To find out more please apply today.
