Assistant Front of House Manager
TGT Solutions are an employment agency based in Guildford and we are always looking to register new temps for any full time or temporary work that may become available.
Job Purpose:
Supporting the General Manager in the smooth running of the Bistro & Wine Bar front of house operation. This also includes occasional internal and external private or corporate catering outside usual business hours.
Responsibilities:
• Day to day running of the restaurant for both lunch and dinner
• Daily cash takings and float management
• Stock control (coffee, tea, drinks and wine)
• Operational and administrative management of internal functions
• Staff training, welfare and development
• Driving revenue opportunities
• Maintaining and reviewing internal marketing opportunities
• Maintaining, reviewing and installing efficient working systems/ procedures/ rotas
• Health, safety and hygiene – COSHH – HACCP Risk Assessments
• Meeting and exceeding guest expectations at all opportunities
• To build a rapport with and maintain a relationship with regular guests.
• Ensuring that any problems and issues are quickly and positively resolved
Skills/Qualifications:
• You will have Supervisory or Assistant Management experience from within a hospitality field. This could be branded restaurants or branded coffee shops for example
• You will have lots of energy and enthusiasm and be genuinely customer focused with a positive interest in the financial success of the company.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential
Shifts worked:
6 days out of 7 incl. weekends
(daytime shifts 10am-5.30pm; 6 hour shifts)
Working Late Fridays and occasional other late shifts where required
Mondays off except in special circumstances
Rates of pay from 14k per annum.
