Teach Me 2 is a dynamic tutoring company, specialising in the provision of private tutoring (extra-lessons) for all school (years 3 - 13) and university subjects, in the comfort of the client’s own home. We need to build our dedicated team of specialist tutors to provide private tutoring in Surrey and areas of South London.

While we are eager to recruit tutors in all subjects and from all geographical areas, we maintain very strict selection criteria in order to protect our high standards. For a start, tutors should have extensive knowledge in the subject they wish to teach. In addition, factors such as teaching ability and general attitude carry significant weight in our estimation of tutoring potential. But the biggest factor we consider is whether a candidate is serious about being a role model, a mentor and an encourager in the lives of our students.


DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The selection of our tutors involves the consideration of many factors including:-
- Role model quality: tutors need to be role models, mentors and encouragers
- Passion for people: tutors need to be passionate about engaging with, empowering and helping others.
- Communication skills: able to communicate verbally and listen effectively
- Personality: friendly, compassionate, dynamic, and approachable
- Ability to teach: able to teach, empathise and exercise patience
- General attitude and approach: warm, enthusiastic and positive in general demeanour
- Academic proficiency: see details below*
- Commitment: Willingness to commit to lengthy tutoring assignments is preferable. Assignments can range from 3 lessons (minimum) to 30 lessons (with an option for the client to renew). It is not crucial to clear your diaries when you join us, but it is important for us to know that you have mentally ‘budgeted’ to give some level of weekly commitment to tutoring (even if not for long periods) and for you to advise us from the outset as to what that is.

*The academic criteria for tutor selection are as follows:
- To tutor A-Level, we require that the tutor have achieved 75% or above for A-level in that subject.
- To tutor GCSE and below, we require that the tutor have achieved 70% or above for A-level in that subject.
- To tutor a tertiary (e.g. University) subject, we require that the tutor have achieved 75% or above in that subject (or relevant subject).
Please note that exceptions may be made to these requirements based on tutor performance but are subject to the discretion of Teach Me 2.
