Guildford & Woking Alliance Division One club Puttenham United FC are looking to strengthen their squad following the start of the 09/10 season.

The club play at School Lane, Puttenham on Saturday afternoons. They train at the home ground on Tuesday nights between 1930 and 2100 - training is compulsory if you want to play.

We are looking for players in all positions to consolidate the good start we have had to the season - so if you are interested drop me a line and I can arrange a trial.

Puttenham United FC were formed in 2005 under their original name of Farncombe FC before being known as Godalming United FC.

On the 6th July 2009 the club agreed a lease with Puttenham Parish Council to play at School Lane - as part of the agreement Godalming agreed to change their name to Puttenham to represent the first Puttenham football club in the village for approx. 25 years.

They were formed with the dream and plan to go from the lowest Saturday division possible (Guildford & Woking Alliance Div 4) to playing in the FA Cup Qualifying Rounds (Combined Counties Prem) in only 12 season. 4 seasons in and they are one promotion behind the original plan having finished 3rd in Division One last season.

2009/10 should be their best season yet!
