A mixed Comprehensive school in London are seeking to appoint a Design & Technology Teacher ASAP on a permanent basis. Ideally the school are looking for a specialist in Resistant Materials.

The position involves working within Key Stage 3 & 4 and experience of the UK curriculum is essential along with a confident classroom manner. An ambitious teacher looking to further develop their career would be most welcome to a school always seeking ways to improve results.

The school require a well organised, effective classroom practitioner who has outstanding subject knowledge, can demonstrate excellent leadership skills, is well organised, confidently delivers the curriculum up to Key Stage 4, the ability to manage change with curriculum provision, the capacity for excellent relationships with pupils and teachers and excellent communication skills. Extra responsibilities may include addressing barriers to learning, whenever they arise.

As an overview, the school have implemented a new senior team, resulting in new disciplines and policies with grades that are ever improving. Due to this, the relationship among both students and staff is something the school are naturally very proud of and they are striving to keep this to a very high standard.

Technology is a subject not taken lightly and each classroom has been furnished with state of the art technology, meaning the successful candidate has every provision at their disposal.

Each Design and Technology teacher applying must have a full teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and be either UK trained or have experience within UK schools.
