Sportstart is looking for enthusiastic and committed sports coaches or dance coaches who enjoy working with children in the primary age range (4-11 years). We have various opportunities available for suitable candidates seeking part-time work, with a view to full-time work being offered in future.

From September 2009, we require sports or dance coaches to deliver after-school clubs in primary schools across Surrey. Most clubs run for 1 hour after school, usually starting around 3pm-3.15pm. We offer clubs in a range of sports such as football, tag-rugby, cricket, tri-golf, athletics and also dance. Coaches are paid £20-£25 per hour session.

We would also be interested to hear from sports coaches or dance teachers looking to deliver sessions during curriculum time in primary schools. Experience of teaching children in the primary age range is essential, and ideally candidates will have worked in schools previously.

For all candidates experience of working with children is desirable, together with a minimum of a Level 1 coaching award in any sport or recognised teaching qualification or industry experience. All applicants will be required to obtain an enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check pror to undertaking any work with children and their suitability for the role assessed thoroughly. Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years. Own transport / use of a car is essential as coaches will be required to travel to schools across Surrey.
