An exciting opportunity at fully refurbished restaurant has arisen for a Sous chef and chef di parti to join the team in Galu mediterranean bar and grill.

As a Sous chef / chef di parti you are required to work closely with the Head Chef in order to assist with the preparation, cooking and presentation of the menu. You are responsible for running the kitchen with the assistance of the Head chef.

Key Accountabilities:

To run and manage the kitchen with the assistance of the Head chef
Train, develop and supervise the team
Awareness and implementation of waste controls
Manage section stock control and rotation
Understand the functional administration of the restaurant, i.e., docket procedures, stations, table numbers, food labelling etc
Adherence to all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programmes

The successful candidate will need:

High knowledge of mediterranean cuisine
Have previous experience in the sous chef / chef di parti role
Be organized and motivated
Possess a good command of the English language and excellent communication skills
Have supervisory skills
Be able to work effectively as part of a team
Be calm under pressure
