A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified social worker to join our clients Referral and assessment department mainly focusing on the Child protection team.

The position has come around due to the previous employee gaining promotion and moving up the ranks. This has left an opening within a fun and friendly team who provide the paperwork for the child protection team.

Your Daily Responsibilities would include to keep accurate records in line with policy or access to records. To understanding of the needs of looked after children and the ability to prioritise a case load/work load. The ability to use line management supervision effectively. Court experience and report writing skills. To participate in emergency duty rota within specific role. Liaise with relevant external agencies e.g. police, health authority etc. To participate in written recording, or using new technology where appropriate. To provide a preventative and rehabilitative service in with expectations of the Children’s Act and facilitating appropriate resources where necessary to enable children to remain with their own families.

You Will need a full social work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, Masters, Honours).

Registration with the GSCC as a fully qualified and registered social work.

The ability to under go an enhanced CRB check.

This is initially a 3 month and 1 day Contract position however there is an option of an extension or even permanence dependant on the progression of the employee. The pay rate has been set depending on previous experience but with minor negotiations possible.
