Singer Here For Paid Gigs
PAID GIGS WANTED: I will play anywhere in the UK & Europe!
Biography:
Sam Jones is an original performer based in London. A retrospective glance back to The Artists Rifles concept recently resulted in a re-launch headlining gig at London's Bull & Gate. The gig saw the return of drummer Gordon Francis which led to the band now being part-based in Brussels where they are recording new material produced by Robbie Kelman of The Dripping Lips. There was also a period along-side female drummer Miliescent formally of Warsaw-based band Kayzen as a two-piece band which gave birth to songs such as Black River. This year was kicked-off with a solo-acoustic set at Charlie Harper's birthday gig supporting UK Subs & two features in the films Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll a biography of Ian Dury & Cemetery Junction a comedy directed by Ricky Gervais.
Most associated with Goth-garage outfit The Artists Rifles from which he fronted. It's various line-ups showcasing original material & supporting larger bands such as The Coral. A Brighton-based line-up of the band was formed to re-record demos which were finally produced by Brian James of The Damned. Since the demise of The Artists Rifles he has played many solo-acoustic shows including a tour of Poland & Isle of Man. The latter resulting in a live interview on Manx Radio (Listen). He was the original guitarist in comedy punk band Monkish & has worked as a session guitarist for the likes of Charlie Harper in an under pseudonym version of UK Subs called Charlie & The Truckers.
