Hays Education is currently looking for Cover Supervisors to work in schools in Richmond Upon Thames, London. We can offer full or part time work with excellent rates of pay.

Working as a Cover Supervisor can be a rewarding career but also very demanding as you take on the responsibilities of the class Teacher. Although there is always a Teacher close at hand if needed, you will be expected to work off your own initiative and move your career forward building on these skills.

Typical responsibilities of Cover Supervisors include:

Supervising work that has been set by the class Teacher
Interacting with pupils to assist with learning and teaching
Ensuring that pupils remain focused on their work
Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies
Reporting back on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising

This role will suit outgoing personalities who are looking for an exciting and rewarding role, or looking to gain classroom experience before applying for a secondary teaching qualification.

We are looking for candidates that have experience that will be relevant to controlling a classroom environment at secondary level. Must have 40 days worth of experience working with children.

You will be required to complete an enhanced police disclosure and be able to provide reference details to cover the last 2 years prior to starting work.
