This course takes place over one day. It covers marine VHF operation, DSC and Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) procedures using Digital Selective Calling. The course uses Simrad RD68, Icom IC M421 and Standard Horizon GX 1500 training radios that are allocated to students individually (no sharing) to enable the maximum practical hands on experience
