Training Centre Manager – Hairdressing
LONDON
A long established and well respected major training provider requires a Centre Manager for their successful and expanding and successful London Hairdressing Training Centre. Within the role of Centre Manager, you will be fully expected to and Manage all aspects of the Training Centre in respect of Assessors , staff and have responsibility & involvement in ensuring all targets and standards are met within the centre whilst maintaining a true passion for developing people. This role would suit and experienced F.E. College Training Department Manager , Lead I.V. or Existing Major Salon Training Manager or candidates with Management and Training Experience with hairdressing qualifications and a passion for the industry.
Key Areas Of Responsibility
- Accountability for all aspects of the London based Training Centre and work based learning contracts
- Overseeing and involvement within maintaining existing training contracts
- Working toward developing new client contracts and growing the centre client base via securing new contracts
- Overall Centre Management
- The Hairdressing Centre Manager will be responsible for recruitment of all staff
- Strong administration and organisation skills are a must
- Ensuring standards and motivation of Trainers / Assessors within the business
- Achieving targets and expectations within a work based learning environment
- Will be expected to teach one day a week so require occupational hairdressing competence
Requirements & Experience Required
The successful Centre Manager will require ideally a strong background within the training sector , NVQ assessing and Hairdressing training and Ideally Possess :-
- DTTLS or Teaching Qualification Cert Ed.
- A1 D32/33 Assessor qualified
- V1 / D34 Internal Verifier preferable
- Experience in Key Skills training preferable
- Qualified Hairdresser to Level 3 with occupational experience
- A passion for training and development of young people
- A strong People Management ability with large team experience
- An outgoing and confident communicator
- Ability to establish credibility and rapport
- Flexible approach to the needs of the Centre Manager role and Training Centre
- A successful proven Management career history within the learning / salon sector
