Max McPherson has been playing guitar for 14 years and boasts 7 years teaching experience throughout the UK in schools, community centres, music stores as well as in private one to one situations.

He has as a wide experience playing in function and original bands throughout the UK as well as playing guitar and singing in a number of acoustic solo and duo situations supporting acts such as Nazareth, Rob Tognoni, Kirk Brandon and The Bees.

He is a graduate of the ACM and holds an Hons Degree in Contemporary Popular Music, an HND in Performance as well as a Diploma in Music teaching.

Lessons are tailored to fit the needs of individual students in a friendly informal situation in Max’s home studio in central Guildford and can cover anything from Rock and pop to Jazz, Blues and Country.

All levels and ages are welcome whether you’re an absolute Beginner or an advanced player looking to expand your stylistic horizons.

Max can also offer lessons on Music theory, song writing as well as lessons on how to use Pro Tools.
Free backing tracks will also be provided for students

Lessons are at competitive, fair rates and are priced per hour or per half hour.
