Highways Project Civil Engineer (Highways Drainage)
Our client, an Engineering Consultancy, is looking for a Highways Project Engineer with detailed knowledge and experience in the design of small to large highway/drainage schemes with varying complexity in residential, commercial, retail and industrial sectors. You will be communicating and negotiating at all levels in obtaining approvals for design proposals and providing designs, calculations, reports and support to other design disciplines. You will be working on an interesting and varied workload covering a wide range of challenging projects and our client can offer long term skill, training, career and management opportunities.
We need you to be familiar with the use of Microdrainage/WinDES design software and the use of PDS design software, Section 38/278 highway works/adoptions and the application and principles of Sustainable Drainage (SUDs). You will also be involved in the preparation of site specific Flood Risk Assessments, Section 104 sewer works and adoptions.
You must be Degree or equivalent qualified and ideally be working towards Chartered status and have a thorough understanding of the relevant Codes of Practice, Regulations and Industry Guidelines. We are looking for a highly motivated, ambitious and team player with good communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work as part of a team, providing knowledgeable advice, support and the desire to take on new challenges.
