The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for leading the definition and delivery of integrated next-generation network and software technologies for major telecommunications service providers in the UK and Ireland. You will be home based, able to travel to client offices, predominantly M4 corridor (but also flexible to travel/work across North Europe).

Key Accountabilities

Technical leadership across multi-disciplinary virtual teams
Establishing customer requirements and map these into a viable technical solution and cover all operational aspects in a comprehensive service package.
Solution definition, ensuring that the customer agrees, understands and accepts the solution
Owner of high level architecture and design documentation production
Approver of detailed design documentation as provided by technical architects responsible for solution components
Technical leadership for 3rd party product interface and realization.
Technical impact assessment on end-to-end architecture as a result of change requests
As a leading authority in Multi-vendor technical offerings the Senior Solution Architect advises on architectures, development and manages complex consulting and migration engagements.

Experience in other sectors e.g. Government/Public Sector
Record of publications e.g. books, articles, white papers, presentations
Knowledge on third party software (e.g. Axiom, Netcool Micromuse, Remedy, Proviso, BEA Weblogic WLI, Cramer)
Knowledge and experience in software estimation techniques
Knowledge of standard software languages, middleware and protocols
